What do you like to do in your spare time?
Although my short stature and stubby frame would suggest otherwise, I love to ride my road bike, play basketball, and lift. I am currently in seminary, so I am required to read an unfair amount of literature. I love watching the great game of baseball, especially when it comes to cheering on my reigning World Series Champions, the Chicago Cubs. I’m a big fan of Facebook yard sale groups, Twitter arguments, and figuring out how to use Snapchat. I love going on adventures with my wife. I put hot sauce on nearly everything. And I spend way too much money on the game of disc golf.
What inspires you?
Aside from the love, sacrifice, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, I am constantly inspired by my beautiful, intelligent, and encouraging wife. She is consistently one of the hardest workers I know and never says a word about it. She loves teaching, challenging, and leading youth. She is a full-time 2nd grade teacher, graduate student, high school ministry leader, volleyball coach, worship team member, incredible housekeeper, wife, and oh yea…she’s pregnant. She loves me, but loves Jesus far more.
Why are you in ministry? What emotional reasons?
I love the church, period. Also, what are emotions?
Who is a hero of yours?
My father is the greatest role model anyone can know. I will never understand why God has chosen me to be his son or has blessed me with being raised by such a God-fearing man. Also, the Green Arrow.
What’s something quirky about you?
I can regurgitate things and can quote almost all of Remember the Titans.
